Point of Rocks lies at the tip of Crescent Beach and is great for snorkelling and diving among the coral reefs. For a day of action, visit Turtle Beach, Siesta Key’s sporty beach with lots of beach activities, a boat launch area and great fishing. Turtle Beach is great for shelling and if you comb the beach carefully you may even find a petrified shark’s tooth.
Siesta Key Village is alive with quaint shops, restaurants and a great local music scene. Many of the restaurants turn to night clubs with a great nightlife vibe. Sunday Night Drum Circles is a favourite where musicians and dancers join the public for a night of fun. The Farmers Market on a Saturday is a great place to gather with friends and family to shop and relax.
Across the bridge to Sarasota

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota is a beautiful 66 acre estate, home to the State Art Museum of Florida, The Ringling Museum of Art, the Ca d’Zan Mansion, the Circus Museum and the historic Asolo Theatre. With beautiful parklands, gardens and a restaurant it is worth a visit. The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens sits on 9.5 acres of bayfront and has some of the world’s rarest plants with over 20,000 tropical plants. The Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium in Sarasota is a private marine research facility with an aquarium. Enjoy interactive exhibits and numerous displays of fish, turtles and over 100 species of marine life. Watch the sharks circling the Shark tank. Myakka River State Park is Florida’s largest state park. Take an airboat ride and experience the natural wonder of alligators, bobcats, bald eagles and many other animals.
