Explore the banks of the Grand River with a visit to Harbor Island to view the beautiful birdlife around the island’s ponds. Taking in the sights, ramble on to the world’s largest one-of-a-kind musical fountain, a synchronized water and light show to themed music. Historic downtown has unique shops and restaurants and is worth the visit if only to see the historic architecture. Tour the town on the historic Harbor Trolley to experience the history and culture of Grand Haven, going back 300 years.
Four Seasons of Fun
Grand Haven is a year round destination with plenty of activities. The summer months are alive with beach activities and concerts, spring brings beautiful spring flowers and the trees turn to gold in the fall months. Enjoy boating, sailing, jet skiing, windsurfing and tubing on the surrounding waters. Explore the 100 miles of bike paths and trails along the shoreline and through the forests, or take a charter to enjoy a day of fishing. Relax on a sunset sail on a schooner or a scenic aerial tour along the shoreline. The beach, however, is one of the main attractions of Grand Haven with golden sands and towering dunes, alive with volleyball and soccer matches and endless beach activities. The activities continue through the winter months at Mulligans Hollow, a small local ski area with ski and snowboarding trails as well as a terrain park.
