The Oregon Coast - A unique destination to explore.
Astounding vistas, rocky headlands, craggy rocks, rivers, forests, coastal dunes and miles of spectacular Pacific Coast shoreline await you on the Oregon Coast. From the picturesque town of Astoria to the little village of Yachats, the Oregon Coast takes you through bustling resort towns with carousels and quiet villages with old time ice cream parlors, all set on a wild and scenic coastline. Outdoor and nature enthusiasts are welcomed by 70 State Parks, the Oregon Dunes and some of the most diverse marine life in the world. Sit back and watch whales breaching along endless stretches of beach. If not storm-watching, find a quiet protected spot to sip sundowners with a brilliant sunset.
Looking for a slower pace of life? A small beach front community in a picture perfect part of the Oregon Coast. Only 10 miles north of the busier town of Lincoln City, Neskowin is the perfect coastal getaway bordered by the Siuslaw National Forest and the Neskowin Marsh. A small village with a general store, farmers market, restaurant and 6 miles of perfect beach along an unspoiled coastline, Neskowin is that quiet spot to relax, slow down and absorb all that nature has to offer.
The beach lies in the shelter of Proposal Rock, a sea stack right off the beach where at low tide you can catch a glimpse of a 2,000 year old drowned forest. A great spot for hikers. Canoe or kayak your way around nearby Nestucca Bay bird estuary. Horse ride on the beach, tee off at the Neskowin Golf Course or take a horse ride along the beach. Neskowin offers excellent salmon fishing and hiking on three stunning trails at the nearby Cascade Head, through rain forests, creeks and stunning headlands overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Neskowin is a step back in time destination yet near enough to enjoy the other bustling Oregon Coast towns.
